On March 18, Hyundai unveiled the new seventh-generation model of the Avante. The new Avante, like Hyundai’s Sonata, has secured spacious interior space using Hyundai’s latest third-generation platform, and has secured enhanced body strength compared to the previous generation, featuring a significant increase in safety and athletic performance, according to Hyundai Motor.
It is also known that electric powertrain as well as internal combustion engine can be applied as the latest platform. The internal combustion engine, in particular, uses a 1.6-liter smart stream gasoline engine that greatly improves power efficiency, as with the current Avante. On top of that, the engine will have the same emissions but a 1.6-liter gasoline turbo engine with higher power by applying an supercharger, and a two-liter gasoline turbo engine with the same emphasis on power as the Hyundai Veloster N.
In particular, the Avante N, which is equipped with a high-performance two-liter gasoline turbo engine that is receiving consumers’ attention, is expected to apply a more powerful design to the new Avante, which emphasizes its basic dynamism by applying Hyundai’s next-generation design language, Sensus Sportness. The expectation of the Avante N model is already popular online, taking over the characteristics of the current N models and boasting a level of perfection that can be regarded as the final mass production design. The large radiator grille at the front is the same as the new Avante, but inside, a new pattern has been applied to emphasize its dynamism, blacked out to give it even more weight. At the bottom of the bumper, there is a separate large air curtain to increase the air intake as well as air performance. They also took care of the front lips, which showed off their strong presence.
The side does not differ much from the basic model, but it is noticeable that a strong red brake caliper is applied, and the N initials are engraved. This was applied prior to Veloster N and is expected to be the same for the new Avante N. The underside of the body is fitted with a side skirt treated in black.
The rear side also boasts as much intensity as the front. No separate spoiler was attached like any other N model. However, a large N emblem on the lower right side of the trunk represents the character of the car. Unlike the basic model that hides the muffler, it also has a large dual muffler that carries weight.
At the bottom of the bumper, a diffuser, which can be called a symbol of high performance model, is installed in the center of the diffuser, and the reverse triangle-shaped secondary braking lamp applied in Veloster N. However, since it is located at the bottom of the bumper, it is uncertain whether it will act as an auxiliary braking lamp, and it is unlikely that the same will be applied to the final mass-production model.
Meanwhile, the new Avante, unveiled on the 18th of this year, is expected to be officially released in Korea next month, and the high-performance N model is expected to be released later than this.
